Traditional Moses basket are made from Palm or Maize leaves, which are woven together by hand, far, far away in Morocco or China .  They can be stored for months at a time where bugs, bacteria and damp can invade the baskets.

They are then shipped around the world on huge ocean liners, for 6-8 weeks and subject to the harsh sea environments. Once they arrive in the UK, the baskets have to be fumigated to kill all the bugs in the baskets, and who knows where the chemicals go after the fumigation?

Once this ordeal is over the Moses baskets are ready for use. Phew! By contrast, the birth of a Shnuggle basket is much simpler.

We ask a nice manufacturer in the West Midlands to make us some Shnuggle baskets. He makes them - about one every 2 minutes - they are then packed up and sent to us for assembly into finished baskets.

Typically we have the baskets in under 2 weeks. Bug free, no fumigation, no transport damage and no long journeys around the world.

This means that we have 100% perfect, super strong baskets ready to go in the UK on a moments notice.

Isn't that refreshing!
